Agelos Arvanitis comes from Lefkada. He was raised in a family environment full of musicians. He made his first steps along with his grandfather, Stratos Kamenidis. He started signing and playing guitar professionally since he was thirteen years old. He always remembers himself writing songs.
As a child he listened to different kinds of music. On one hand he listened to Vamvakari and Bithikotsi and on the other hand he enjoyed listening to Toto, Crocus and Pink Floyd. Agelos believes that although "rempetiko" and "rock" seem to be two completely different kinds of music, they instead, have a lot in common, since they contain a lot of mutual music elements. In his first personal cd titled "Δώδεκα Μήνες" ("Twelve Months") he attempted this music compound and proposed something different from the usual.
Agelos Arvanitis does not care about fast success and easy money. His desire is to compose good music that resists in time, working with respect and professionalism. We wish him the best, choosing to share with you some lines from one of his songs:
